Storm Water Pollution Prevention Tips

  • Never dump dirty water or chemicals outside or into storm drains. Dispose of cleaning water down interior drains and call OEHS at 982-4911 for proper disposal of excess chemicals.
  • Make sure all employees know how to properly read chemical labels and use the chemicals according to instructions.
  • Minimize the use of chemical cleaning products where possible
  • Do not dump cooking oils or grease down the drain. Save these in a sealed container for proper disposal or recycling.
  • Do not wash out trash cans outside unless you are washing above a drain that empties to the sanitary sewer.
